Born in Cuba, Alan Zuniga's parents decided to flee Castro's communism in 1961, when he was 6 years old.
Growing up in the southeastern United States, with a decided affection for sports, he combined his artistic talent with a desire and inspiration to capture great moments in Sports History through his art. A significant influence is his graphic design experience. Some of these design elements are depicted in his montages, combining various scenes to "tell a story" of a memorial event, in a detailed and visually dramatic style.
Alan has received various commissions for major works of art, including a commission for the Ryoko Golf Club in Saporro, Japan, Varsity Clubs Hotel in South Bend, Indiana, and other private commissions. He also has sold his lithographs in virtually every state of the Union.
He now resides in Hoover, Alabama with his wife Shannon and two children.
