Ralph Megginson is an artist from Lansing, Michigan who now resides in Atlanta, Georgia. He is people artist who enjoys capturing sports personalities through paintings in Oils and Acrylics and drawings in colored pencil and pencil. Sports has been a capturing of the moment for Ralph Meggison's paintings. He has been painting sports since he has been in the seventh grad and started drawing sports at eight years old. Before that he was drawing animals out of his grandmother's Britannica encyclopedia books. Ralph started drawing from seeing his mother doodling on pieces of paper when she was doing housework or writing.
His early education started with drawing flowers for cards for teachers who would give to faculty or students that were ill in the first grade. He kept drawing through junior high school and High School which he received scholarships to arts academies as far back as eighth grade and also was taking college courses that early from Michigan State University and Interlochen National Music Camp and Arts Academy. He did a year in illustration at Kendall School of Design before graduating from Western Michigan University with a Painting Major.
Ralph is currently selling limited edition prints of some of his artwork. Ralph Meggison is currently looking for commissions and representation of his artwork in Sports, Portraiture or Native American art.
